He was the greatest Cuban singer, improviser, bandleader and showman and his great band, still alive and kicking but now directed by Benny Santos, have kept his music and work truly alive. El Muso, the former member of Conjunto de Roberto Faz, La Sonora de Laito and Todos Estrellas (which included Rafael Planas, Omara Portuondo, Felix Valoy and Pablo Milan‚s) is one of Cuba's most versatile singers and has been one of the leaders of the Cuban authentic salsa-son scene for many years. Here he is joined by the great soneros Candido Fabre‚ and Son 14's Tiburon and the legendary percussionists Changuito and Tata Guines in a feast of music including salsa, son and bolero.
